Mayor Familiarizes Himself with UCC Fire Service Operations and Challenges
On 8th January 2026, the Mayor of Cape Coast, Hon. George Justice Arthur, paid a courtesy visit to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Unit of the Ghana National Fire Service as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and enhance emergency response within the Metropolis.
The visit provided the Mayor with an opportunity to interact directly with officers and personnel, familiarize himself with their operations, and receive first-hand insights into their working conditions, logistics, and challenges. Discussions focused on improving fire safety, response times, and support for the Service in protecting lives and property within the university community and the wider Cape Coast area.
Hon. George Justice Arthur commended the officers for their dedication and professionalism, assuring them of the Assembly’s commitment to work closely with the Ghana National Fire Service to address their needs and promote a safer Cape Coast for all.
